BUSINESSMEN’S ASSOCIATION OF BUCHAREST is a Romanian legal person of private law, established in accordance with O.G.26/2000, modified by O.G.37/2003 provisions, non-governmental, apolitical and non-profit organization.

BUSINESSMEN’S ASSOCIATION OF BUCHAREST purposes as a goal establishing a center of resources and services for the businessmen area, especially for the SMEs, by using advanced educational technologies based on courses of international organisations for distant learning and on courses already developed in Romania, on developing its own support systems, on using some modern and efficient methods and strategies of communication (on-line), on developing services and promoting culture related to intellectual property, on intercultural relations and spreading information towards this persons to which time is very important.
In order to achieve tis goal, the Association purposes to establish some systems and organismes needed to reach the following goals:

I. Creating a communication infrastructure: computers, multimedia, special equipments for video-teleconferences, printing and multiplying equipmnts, web portal, INTERNET connexion, electronic system of distance learning (e-learning);

II. Creating groups of experts to:
a. Research, test, implement a methodological, technological and organizational system of distant learning for new forms of professional specialization in e-learning domain;
b. Analize the results and perspectives of distant learning;
c. Identify the needs of training;
d. Create trainers to use the educational software and to produce teaching materials;
e. Train managers in the area of ensuring the quality in educational process;
f. Elaborate and translate teaching and training materials for Romanian distant learning;
g. Develop training, improving knowledge, professional reorientation courses and programs leading to upper qualifications;
h. Participate to national and international programs regarding different areas of activity: education and training, intercultural communication, negociation and mediation in business, innovation-research-development, technological transfer and valorising intellectual property rights, educational, quality and projects management;  
i. Assistance, advising and developing services for SMEs, support the innovative initiative and the inventors, the development of technological transfer infrastructure, promote the reseach results, exploit and valorize intellectual property rights, promote e-business, establish publi-private partnerships with local or central state administration, support and develop links between technological and antreprenorial potential, promote antreprenorial culture and develop antreprenorial spirit, train experts of technological transfer, teach people about the part and importance of IP rights for the SMEs;
j. Develop the dissemination activity through:
- organising conferences, simposionums, scientific-creative meetings, training stages in Romania and abroad;
- participating to national and international scientific meetings and manifestations;
- editing publications, INTERNET applications, WEB pages, editing foto materials, CD-ROM, audio-video informing, mass-media publicity;
- editing support documentation as: printing courses, metodologies, rapports about macro-economic politics, including aspects related to legislation in this area.
